SOLD OUT FOR 2013
Estonian Red's one of our favorites. Grown primarily in Denmark, this heirloom garlic shows good disease resistance--and the bulbs can get almost as big as elephant garlic when grown in good conditions. The cloves are large, even when the bulbs are medium sized. This garlic tends to have a milder flavor profile in cooking. It works well in garlic mashed potatoes, with seafood, or in dishes where you don't want the garlic to overpower the other ingredients. We love to eat this sauteed in butter and spread on toast. Delicious.
